Industry Culture and Practice in Building Safety

Many thanks for your interest in taking part in this research.

The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) have appointed an independent agency, Verian (https://www.veriangroup.com/), to carry out research to explore industry perspectives on culture and practice in relation to building safety. We are keen to hear from a wide range of people working in the built environment.

As part of their work, the BSR must examine the ability of the wider built environment industry to comply with the Building Regulations, including enablers and barriers to positive change, the efficacy of the BSR activity on improving standards across the built environment industry and assess the change relative to active and passive BSR activities. In this research, we are looking to explore aspects of safety culture and how this is viewed and operationalised within wider industry.

What taking part involves

After you complete this form, we will review your responses and invite selected individuals to take part in an online group discussion. As a thank-you for your time, all participants will be offered £100 (which you are free to decline), plus an additional £20 if a brief online pre‑task is completed before the group.

We are happy to hear from individuals who have previously taken part in BSR research, as well as those interested in participating for the first time.

Participation in this research is anonymous, and details of participants or their organisations will not be shared with BSR, or with participants’ employers. Taking part will not affect any current or future contact you or your organisation may have with BSR.
