Research into culture change in the built environment

Many thanks for your interest in taking part in this research.

The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) has published its first three-year strategic plan where it establishes a vision to drive change and create a built environment where everyone is competent and takes responsibility to ensure buildings are of high quality and are safe.

BSR’s Insight Team is conducting research into how it can support industry to drive the changes in culture needed to achieve this ambition.  As part of this, it has developed a ‘culture framework’ and some key principles around what good culture looks like. It is now looking for feedback and comments on this from individuals working within Government, regulatory and professional bodies, across all parts of industry. Your input will be invaluable for setting the tone of the framework and making sure it works across diverse professions and trades.

To help ensure we speak to the right people for this research, we have a few questions which we would like to ask you about your role in the built environment.

We will invite some individuals to take part in online focus groups to explore views in further detail. Interviews are due to take place in December 2024 and early January 2025. (Please note that in order to have an even representation across the built environment, an expression of interest may not necessarily guarantee participation).
